Anna Mae Jordan Phelps, 95, died on Feb. 4, 2026 in Copperas Cove.
Anna was born on Jan. 15, 1931 to W.F. “Bill” and Ollie Jordan in Lampasas. She grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School.
After Anna married, she moved to Idaho and was there over 50 years before moving back to Texas. She was a foster parent to 55 children during the time in Idaho.
Anna is survived by three sons, Dale Walkup and wife Letz, Larry Walkup and wife Lynda, and Mikel Walkup and wife Carol; nine grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Winston Jordan, and two sisters, Patsy Williams and Delma Smith.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Bill Jordan and Joe Jordan; and two sisters, Edna Newsom and Velma Wilkinson.
No services were held, as was her request. Memorials may be made to the place of one’s choosing.
