Storm’s to celebrate its 75th year of making burgers, shakes

Storm’s Drive-in is set to celebrate 75 years of making freshly cut french fries and inhouse ground burgers when Sept. 13 rolls around.The fast-food restaurant opened in 1950 by the Storm family as a soft-serve ice cream stand has arguably become Lampasas’ most iconic food establishment.

Courthouse renovations nearing their end

Renovations on the historic downtown Lampasas County Courthouse are entering the final stages.The project led by RKJ Construction that started in January is expected to be completed by its December deadline.

Shine the Light Glow Walk to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month

AdventHealth is inviting anyone willing to participate in its annual Shine the Light Breast Cancer Awareness Glow Walk on Sept. 25 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the AdventHealth Women’s Center parking lot in Killeen.Funds raised will go toward providing free or reduced-cost mammograms for those in need.
