Cardboard Regatta names a winner

Brylie Centunzi was the cardboard regatta champion with her duct tape enforced boat. Mason Schulze finished in second place, and third went to Easton Akers.

Providence announces upcoming events

Providence Christian Academy in Lampasas has some upcoming events to put on the calendar for those who are interested. A fundraiser will be held July 20. From 5-8 p.m. that evening, the Chick fil-A in Copperas Cove will donate 15% of its proceeds to the school.

County fair winners named during Spring Ho

Winners were named across nine divisions at the County Fair, held last week in conjunction with Spring Ho festivities. Judging took place Thursday, July 6. Members of the 36 Club hosted the event at the Lampasas County Office Building conference room.

Council OKs LCAD budget, revises Hostess House project

Lampasas City Council approved a Fiscal Year 2024 appraisal district budget and voted to move forward with a revised Hostess House renovation plan on Monday night.

KWSC issues new boil water notice

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has directed the Kempner Water Supply Co. to issue a boil notice to all customers. The warning comes after an 8-inch line break on Twin Mountain Road affected service early Wednesday morning. All customers should boil water prior to consumption.
