Emergency water measures put in place for Lampasas

Due to a leak that developed Wednesday evening in the concrete transmission line along U.S. Highway 190 that carries water from Kempner Water Supply to Lampasas customers, the city of Lampasas has issued a Stage 5 Water Emergency alert.

Anticipating needs of eclipse travelers

Lampasas City Council members are continuing to make progress in planning for next year’s solar eclipse event, which now is less than nine months away. During Monday’s City Council workshop session, members discussed viewing areas, portable restrooms and community engagement.

TXDOT MEETINGS CANCELED Texas Department of Transportation open houses planned this week in Lampasas and Evant were canceled on Monday. The meetings were intended to provide an update on plans to widen U.S. Highway 281 from Lampasas to Evant.

City heads to stage 3 water restrictions

As of this morning, the city of Lampasas is now under stage 3 water restrictions due to continued drought conditions.  The decision comes after Kempner Water Supply Corporation shifted into stage 4 restrictions on Monday.

TxDOT open house for U.S. 281 expansion postponed

This afternoon, the Texas Department of Transportation announced its open house scheduled for tomorrow at New Covenant Church from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be postponed until another date.  The event was supposed to provide updated plans regarding the U.S.
