GRAND JURY

Lampasas County grand jury convened Wednesday to continue its July term. County Attorney John Greenwood presented information that resulted in the indictment of Alexander Jerome Collier on a charge of possession of a controlled substancemethamphetamine on Aug. 12.

DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings.

ARRESTS

Alamo Coffee receives variance for sale of beer

Alamo Coffee received a variance from the Lampasas City Council Monday night for the sale of beer at a future site on Key Avenue. The business, currently located at 301 South U.S. Highway 281, serves coffee, tea, energy drinks and smoothies.
