Hill Country SWCD offers pig traps for landowners’ use

The wild pig population in Texas is estimated at 2.6 million, and it continues to grow. Wild pigs feed on almost any agricultural crop they can find. Their rooting damages cropland, pastureland, native rangeland as well as lawns and gardens.

Square up for Squared Silly in Lampasas

Gear up for ghouls, ghosts, goblins, goodies and gobs of fun! Squared Silly, an annual fall festival, will take place Saturday from 5-7:30 p.m. around the Lampasas courthouse square.

AdventHealth Central Texas will host a drive-through flu shot clinic Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. behind the hospital near the Emergency Department entrance at 2201 S. Clear Creek Rd. in Killeen. No appointment is necessary. A second clinic will be held at AdventHealth Rollins Brook, 608 N. Key Ave.
