Dec. 10 will mark the 75th annual Christmas Cantata performance in Lampasas, or so it’s believed.
“We think this is our 75th,” said Mary Tittle, cantata choral director. “We have no records back that far. We picked a year after World War II, figuring that they weren’t held during the war.

The November 2023 sales tax allocation for the city of Lampasas finally inched upward, after five months of declining revenues compared to last year’s receipts.
Lampasas earned a payment of $253,209 this period – up 1% from what it took in for November 2022.

The average cost of a classic Thanksgiving dinner in Texas is slightly more expensive than a year ago, according to Farm Bureau’s annual price survey.
The average cost of this year’s Thanksgiving feast for 10 people is $61.89, or $6.19 per person.

Hearing set in Ames aggravated assault case

Court proceedings have begun for a Kempner woman charged with aggravated assault after a purported domestic dispute turned violent in August.
Sarah Jane Ames, 32, is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on Dec. 1.
