City seeks additional water sources

Less than a month after a busted mainline had Lampasas residents boiling water for 61 hours, Lampasas City Council approved a contract with a firm that will investigate alternative sources of water for the city.

Ready for some Christmas fun

KEY CLUB FESTIVAL The Lampasas High School Key Club will sponsor a Christmas Festival Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Proceeds will benefit Key Club activities and the Lampasas Salvation Army. Tickets are $1 apiece.

13-year-old killed in ATV wreck

A 13-year-old Pearland girl was killed when she overturned an all-terrain vehicle at a Lampasas County ranch the day after Thanksgiving, authorities said. Sheriff Jess Ramos said his deputies responded to a private property in the 5800 block of East FM 580 on Nov. 24 at 4:55 p.m.
