L-M club members celebrate Thanksgiving together

The Lometa L-M Garden and Civic Club held its annual Thanksgiving feast for members and guests Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. Food was provided by members, and good fellowship was enjoyed by the 36 in attendance.

Bridge players to meet before Christmas

The Community Bridge group met Nov. 13 in the fellowship hall at First Presbyterian Church. Six tables enjoyed the afternoon play, with Carolyn Anderson of Copperas Cove taking first place. Joe England was second, and Margaret Oberender came in third. No one won the slam prize.

Lady Badgers lose steam in second half against Copperas Cove

The Lady Badger basketball team couldn’t put together full four quarters of solid play Tuesday night against Copperas Cove, as Lampasas fell 47-28. The girls started the game slowly, but they made a run in the second quarter to cut the Lady Bulldogs’ lead to three points late in the first half.

City of Kempner internet upgrades delayed

Delays on the completion of the Altitude ISP internet tower behind Kempner City Hall are expected to last into the new year. Originally, the internet tower was expected to be up and operational by the end of October.
