Hydroponics program planned for Feb. 10 at Kempner farm

Yield Here Farms will sponsor an “Intro to Hydroponics” program Feb. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2662 Snow Rd. in Kempner. Participants will learn about hands-on, do-it-yourself systems, maintenance and nutrients, and commercial systems. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included.

Deputy helps rescue woman from cold exposure

The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office credited the kindness of a good Samaritan and the initiative of one of its own officers for the rescue of a Lampasas County woman stranded in dangerous conditions last week. On Jan. 19 at 4:02 a.m.

Re-election campaign to hold reception for Sheriff Ramos

A re-election campaign reception for Lampasas County Sheriff Jess Ramos has been scheduled for early February. The event will be held at Putters & Gutters Fun Center at 2341 U.S. Highway 281 in Lampasas on Feb. 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This is a public event, and all are welcome to attend.

Meet-and-greet event planned in Lometa for candidate David Parker

A meet-and-greet barbecue has been scheduled in Lometa for Lampasas County sheriff candidate David Parker. The event is set for Feb. 10 from noon to 6 p.m. at 201 Olive St. Parker, a Republican candidate in the election for sheriff, will be present to meet citizens and answer questions.
