Library hosts NASA official today

Lampasas Public Library will host an outof- this-world experience this afternoon at 5 p.m. in advance of the total solar eclipse.Dive into the mysteries of the universe with a special presentation by a NASA scientist. The presentation titled “What is the Solar Corona and How Does it Affect Earth?

The family of Army Staff Sgt. Leroy C. Cloud finally has received answers after 80 years of questions.Lampasas resident Janice Cloud Dishman-Skains is a niece of Cloud and said she grew up hearing stories about her uncle.

School board receives attendance reports, eclipse security updates

The Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees’ meeting Monday had few action items. Nonetheless, board members received enrollment and attendance updates, along with reports on eclipse preparedness steps that have been undertaken.
