Lampasas ISD Board of Trustees OKs vape punishment changes

The Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees approved minor changes to the district’s procedures for e-cigarette and THC offenses. Approval came after a lengthy discussion at Monday’s regular meeting.

Goldthwaite man sentenced for hit-and-run death of Lampasas native

Although the criminal court case over the hit-and-run death of a Lampasas native came to a conclusion in Mills County last week, family members of the deceased said it offers little relief.

June named Elder Abuse Awareness Month

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court unanimously agreed to name June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month. Action came during last week’s regular meeting.According to the National Council on Aging, 5 million older Americans suffer from some form of elder abuse.

County Clerk filing enters the digital era

In what County Clerk Dianne Miller is calling a victory, her office will make a grand step into the digital era on June 10 through a service that will scan and digitize county documents from the last 30 years.

May brings most rainfall since 1895

Rainfall for the month of May set a new record for Lampasas County, based on historical numbers from the National Centers for Environmental Information.Since 1895, October 2018 is listed as the month with the most rainfall to occur – 13.9 inches.
