Appraisal district proposes large budget hike for 2025

The Lampasas Central Appraisal District is proposing a 32.05% increase to its budget for 2025 to fund three new staff positions, including a deputy chief appraiser. The increase will bring the budgeted expenses to $1,108,913.

Saratoga UWCD to hold election of directors

The Saratoga Underground Water Conservation District will host an election for two board member seats this November. The seats up for election are those of Precinct 1 member Chad Pechak and Precinct 3 member Paul Cline.

Friends of the Night Sky honors two local businesses

Two downtown businesses have been awarded the Night Sky Friendly designation by the Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky. They are Lampasas Beer Market and Hesters Books on the Square.
