Camper rollover on U.S. 281 causes extensive damage

A collision Sunday between an SUV towing a camper and a truck hauling a boat trailer on U.S. Highway 281 led to extreme damages.The wreck occurred in the mid-afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. in Burnet County, south of the Lampasas County line.

Appraisal district proposes large budget hike for 2025

The Lampasas Central Appraisal District is proposing a 32.05% increase to its budget for 2025 to fund three new staff positions, including a deputy chief appraiser. The increase will bring the budgeted expenses to $1,108,913.
