Leavell chosen as 2024 grand parade marshal

The Lampasas Spring Ho Festival, an annual celebration that brings together the community in fun summer festivities, has announced Neal Leavell as the marshal for the 2024 Grand Parade.

Dance Contest, Tejano Night on tap for Spring Ho Thursday

Spring Ho is fast approaching, and with it comes the popular Dance Contest. Staged at the Putters & Gutters Fun Center on July 11, contestants will have the opportunity to enter a variety of dance categories and show off their moves. The contest will begin at 7 p.m.

Kids’ Day Activities set for July 12

The youngest participants can enjoy Spring Ho activities designed specifically for them, as a variety of kidfriendly events will be held on July 12. The Diaper Derby begins at 8:30 a.m.

Dominoes, outdoor competitions part of the Spring Ho offerings for 2024

Play the winning domino, land a ringer in washer pitching, and airmail the final point as Spring Ho launches its adult tournament lineup. The festival kicks off its tournament lineup with dominos in a 42 tournament on July 9, followed by washer pitching and cornhole tournaments on July 11.

Toughest 10K to offer new race routes this year

The Toughest 10K in Texas, 5K and 1-mile run are just around the corner, and competitors from around the state are expected to show up July 13 to participate in the Spring Ho event. The races are hosted by the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce.

Music and fireworks headline the midweek festivities

Wednesday night of Spring Ho week is a highly anticipated part of the event schedule. With festivities already in full swing, Wednesday offers an opportunity for attendees to connect to the community in more ways than one, with Gospel Night, followed by the Spring Ho fireworks show.

Born to Soar skateboard competition set to thrill

The annual Lampasas Spring Ho Festival is gearing up to host an exciting new event that promises to be a special highlight of the summer. The Born to Soar Skate Competition will take place July 13 from 4-8 p.m. at Campbell Park.

Water competitions a big part of Spring Ho

The Spring Ho Cardboard Regatta and Water Sports competitions are set for July 13 at 3 p.m. at the Hanna Springs Swimming Pool. Kayak races in W.M. Brook Park are scheduled for earlier in the afternoon.
