Museum to host Western Street dance

The inaugural Western Night on Western drew a large crowd last year. This year’s event with Jake Hooker and the Outsiders will take place Sept. 21 from 6-10 p.m. outside the museum on Western Street. Tickets are still available.

Browning Garden Club to gather

DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened on Aug. 30 before taking a break in September. Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings.Among the action taken by the court was to push several cases back to October. Those include: Arraignment hearing Oct.

New budget and tax rate approved by City Council

A new tax rate and budget are in place for the city of Lampasas for the fiscal year 2024-2025 after the Lampasas City Council approved both on Monday night.The tax levy has been set at 34 cents per $100 in property valuation.

School board ponders upgrades to LMS campus

Lampasas Independent School District trustees are pondering upgrades to Taylor Creek Elementary School and Lampasas Middle School. The changes would promote school safety and help accommodate growth.
