Commissioners Court recognizes upcoming 4-H week

Lampasas County Commissioners Court recognized 4-H students and leaders during last week’s regular meeting in advance of the upcoming 4-H week.The court also approved a resolution celebrating National 4-H Week, which runs from Oct. 6-12.

Annual Boots & Blazers Ball set for Oct. 12

The annual Boots & Blazers Ball will grace Campbell Park once again with dinner, entertainment and artwork on Oct. 12.Hosted by Lampasas Association for the Arts, the event will take place from 5:30-11:15 p.m.

Woods pleads guilty in 2023 shooting

A Kempner-area man pleaded guilty Friday in the shooting of his friend in May 2023.Michael Oran Woods, 43, was scheduled for jury trial on Sept. 23 on a murder charge, but instead he reached a plea agreement in the 27th District Court of Lampasas County on Friday.
