‘A tip of the hat’ pays tribute to local artist Cliff Cantrell

EDITOR’S NOTE: Paula Cantrell Landers (Lampasas High School Class of 1975) was in Lampasas Oct. 19 to offer a rededication of the mural at Country Kitchen painted by her late father. Cliff Cantrell’s artwork became an integral part of the Lampasas community, as is noted below in her remarks.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings.

Food preservation workshop set for Nov. 21

A workshop on food preservation will be held Nov. 21 from 6-8 a.m. at the Lampasas County Office Building conference room, 409 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.“Grow It, Preserve It, Enjoy It” will explain and demonstrate water bath and pressure canning methods.
