Dispatch Record names new managing editor

Erick Mitchell, the Dispatch Record’s two-year veteran news editor, will lead the newsroom as the publication’s new managing editor. He takes the fulltime role after former managing editor Alexandria Randolph shifted to part-time status with the newspaper.

Classics group celebrates 20 years

On the first Saturday in March, Classics at the Classic celebrated20 years of gatherings at Storm’s Drive-in. The group voted on a favorite classic. The winner was a 1968 Chevelle owned by Phillip Marez of Lampasas, pictured here. The next Classics gathering will be Saturday at 5 p.m.
