Couple celebrates golden anniversary

Jim and Darlene Rutland of Lampasas are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married June 16, 1973 at First Street Church of Christ. Over the course of their married life, they have resided in Abilene, Dallas, Copperas Cove and Lampasas.

After deep discussions among its members, the Lampasas County Livestock Association is getting ready to break ground on its new ag barn project. The building will serve as a space for students with limited resources to house their livestock animals.
