A new walking program is set to begin in Lampasas. The program “Walk N Talk – Rethink Your Drink” is a free, eight-week walking initiative that will be offered on Saturday mornings beginning Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.

Breed champion banner awarded

Cort Maples, a fifth-grader at Taylor Creek Elementary School, was named the Red Cross Breed Champion at the Heart of Texas Livestock Show in Waco this year with his steer Pepe’ Le Pew. The Premium Steer Show consisted of more than 500 head of steers and 18 breeds.
