Celebrating Fire Prevention Safety Week

Taylor Creek Elementary School held a fire prevention/safety presentation on Oct. 12 for grades prekindergarten through fourth. Kempner Fire Department, Copperas Cove Fire Department, Hamilton EMS and Lampasas Fire Department were on hand to provide demonstrations for the students.

kempner cemetery association The Kempner Cemetery Association’s annual meeting will be held Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Kempner Brick Oven, 12093 U.S. Highway 190 in Kempner (use entrance on Depot Avenue). The Board of Directors encourages all members to attend.

County Farm Bureau convention on ag issues draws good crowd

The annual Lampasas County Farm Bureau Convention was held recently with more than 180 members in attendance. Ribeye steaks were prepared by Jeff Rutland and a Farm Bureau crew of cooks. Texas Farm Bureau staff from Waco gave input on the upcoming constitutional amendment propositions on the Nov.

Here is a list of upcoming Trick-or-Treat and fall festival events in and near Lampasas. Saturday, Oct. 19 Lampasas Methodist Church will host a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival will include free carnival games, a bouncy house, a rock wall and face painting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
