Gingerbread House Contest winners announced

The Gingerbread House decorating contest, sponsored by the Lampasas County Museum, took place during recent Carol of Lights festivities. Entries will remain on display until Dec. 16, when the museum closes before reopening after the first of the new year. Winners are listed below.

While at the grocery store recently, I overheard two ladies discussing a pie. One was 'offended' that someone else was baking the pie she had always brought to the family gathering. 'That is MY pie and MY recipe,' I heard her say.
