Browning Garden Club extends invitation to annual flower show

The Browning Community Garden Club will hold its annual flower show Saturday at the First Street Church of Christ Family Life Center in Lampasas. The show is free to the public and will be open from 2-4 p.m.This show is a National Garden Club standard flower show and will consist of five divisions.

Pecan Field Day set for May 6 in San Saba

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the San Saba County Pecan Growers Association will host the annual Pecan Field Day on Monday at the San Saba Civic Center, 1190 Thomas Stewart Dr.Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the program to start at 9 a.m. Registration at the door is $70.

Lampasas ISD to offer summer meals for students

Lampasas ISD Nutrition Services will offer healthy, no-cost summer meals to children ages 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old.The summer meal program kicks off at Hanna Springs Elementary School on May 21, with breakfast served from 7:30-9:30 a.m.

District clerk earns regional honor, qualifies for state recognition

Lampasas County District Clerk Edith Wagner Harrison has been named Region 5 District Clerk of the Year for 2024.The honor was presented April 19 at the annual Spring Region 5 meeting of the County District Clerks’ Association of Texas, held in Brownwood.
