Community Bridge players take home prizes

Series on healthy aging set to begin this week

“Be Well, Live Well: a Program on Healthy Aging” is a five-part series that will be offered by the AgriLife Extension Service at two sites every other Monday, beginning June 17 and running through Aug. 12.At 10:30 a.m., the program will be held at the Lampasas Senior Center, 901 S. Live Oak.

Mainville named new Kempner VFD chief

Alan Mainville was introduced as the new Kempner Volunteer Fire Department chief during Monday’s Lampasas County Commissioners Court meeting.Mainville is no stranger to the Kempner VFD, having served from 2002 to 2014 and rising to the rank of assistant chief.
