    Texas Department of Health and Human Services’ recent Aborvirus activity report said there are an estimated 1,604 mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus in the state of Texas. Six of these samples came from Bell County.

    After rains in the area last week, the mosquito population has shown an increase, officials said.
