Kempner Christmas in the Park set for Friday

The city of Kempner is hosting the Christmas in the Park event Friday night.The event begins at 5 p.m. and will include vendors for holiday shopping, seasonal food and beverages, festive music and a Christmas movie showing. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance at 6:15 p.m.

Five LHS Jazz Band members place at state competition

Lampasas High School’s Jazz Band saw five students place in the top 12 with their respective instruments at the Association of Texas Small School Bands All-State jazz band competition.

Program on chamber music headlines ’36 Club meeting

On Nov. 14, the ’36 Club of Lampasas had a program presented by Boyce Cabaniss pertaining to the Lampasas County Chamber Music organization.When one thinks of music, the styles that come to mind generally include country, jazz, bluegrass and modern music.

Hatley Ranch in Tour of Homes

The Hatley Ranch will be part of this year’s Lampasas County Christmas Tour of Homes. The home is tucked in the rolling hills just west of town. The museum’s 2024 Tour of Homes is set for Dec. 8. Tour tickets, at $15 each, are available at the Lampasas County Museum or from any museum board member.

Lampasas lineman aides those affected by hurricanes in Southeast

Lampasas resident Armando Rosales worked in Georgia and Florida in October to restore power for many communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.Although the work can be grueling, Rosales knows fellow Americans are counting on him and his peers for essential services.

The Adelphia to show in Tour of Homes
