Central Christian Church in Lampasas invites area residents to join the congregation for a special time of worship and praise with Randy and Tracy Morgan. The duo will lead in a praise service Sunday at 10:45 a.m. at the church, 204 S. Broad St.

Clothing donation benefits local center

New Beginning of Restoration and Hope took delivery of 640 articles of clothing from Masons with the Mt. Horeb Council No. 41 in Mahomet and Saratoga Lodge No. 546 in Lampasas. Several collection points in Lampasas included Rollo Insurance, Blends and Saratoga Lodge.

CASA seeking Angel Tree donors for area children

Each year, generous donors provide gifts at the holidays to the abused and neglected children served by CASA for the Highland Lakes Area. As more and more children are removed from their home, the need has grown, with gifts for over 200 children projected for this year.

Local Walmart celebrates store renovation

The Lampasas Walmart has resided at its current location for 20 years. It will celebrate its first major renovation since that time with a ribbon cutting today.Store Manager Victor Hermosillo said the renovation work began on July 22.“All this is planned about three years in advance,” he said.

Community Bridge players invite veterans to join them

Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day was enjoyed by the Community Bridge group on Oct. 14.Twenty players competed for the prizes. Kathy Griffis-Bailey took home first place, Tom Griess was second, and Carolyn Anderson came in third.
