Chamber music festival to hold concert this weekend

Lampasas County Chamber Music Festival will hold a fundraiser concert Oct. 4 at 3 p.m., hosted by Joe and Cindy Abel.The concert will take place in the offices of MD Abel Co., at the historic Manuel Hardware Building, 401 E. Third St. in Lampasas.Admission is free.

LAFTA planning for annual Boots and Blazers Ball

Lampasas Association for the Arts is gearing up to host its biggest fundraiser yet with the Boots and Blazers Ball on Oct. 11 at the Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden.The event will celebrate LAFTA’s 20th year of promoting the arts to all ages in Lampasas County.

Students talk Bill of Rights on Constitution Day

Each year during the week that includes Constitution Day (Sept. 17), students in Texas schools honor Celebrate Freedom Week to highlight the ideals on which the United States was founded.
