LHS Cheer fundraiser set for Monday

Lampasas High School Cheer will host a pork chop drive-through fundraising event on Monday, June 5.  The fundraiser will offer a plate of pork chops, potato salad and green beans for a $10 donation. All proceeds will benefit the LHS Cheer program. Food prep costs are paid for by Benny Boyd Lampasas.

Couple named ‘Outstanding Conservation Rancher’

In 2011, Lee and Teri Gernentz purchased 242 acres and settled in to make their home. The land they bought had been a working wheat farm, and while Gernentz had a background in farming, it was not what he wanted to continue doing. 'We wanted to raise cattle,' Gernentz said.

Lometa claims gold in state Speech and Debate contests

Lometa’s Speech and Debate program added two more state championships to its legacy, with senior Phallon Jones winning a gold medal in Lincoln-Douglas Debate as well as in Persuasive Speaking. Jones was the defending champion in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, after her win in 2022.

Chambers reunion set for June 10

Business celebrates at its new location

Lotus Beauty Spa & Salon recently held a ribbon-cutting celebration at its new location at 1009 E. Fourth St. in Lampasas. Owner Pam Ekizian is holding the scissors, surrounded by friends and Chamber of Commerce board members.

Lodge to hold award ceremony

Saratoga Masonic Lodge #546 will have a ceremony Thursday at 7 p.m. to present its Golden Trowel Award. The lodge is at 1209 Central Texas Expressway in Lampasas.
