First annual Cooper Spring fish fry fundraiser set for April 25

The Cooper Spring Nature Park Foundation will host its first fundraiser for the park.A fish fry -- featuring fish, French fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, dessert and a drink -- will be held April 25 from 5-8 p.m. at the Nature Park, 100 N. Hackberry.

18 Badgers qualify for UIL Academic regionals

Lampasas High School’s UIL Academic, Speech, and Debate teams competed strongly at the District 24-4A tournament and secured the District Runner-Up title once again.The following students competed at the UIL district meet in Burnet on March 24-25.

AdventHealth Rollins Brook hospital has announced it will hold an open house April 23 from 2-4 p.m. to introduce Jennifer Swenson to the community. Swenson is the new AdventHealth Central Texas and AdventHealth Rollins Brook chief executive officer.
