New boys’ soccer coach has lifelong passion for the sport

Samuel Burnside has accepted a position as the Badgers’ new head boys’ soccer coach. The 2014 Lorena High School graduate comes to Lampasas from Smithville, where he has been boys’ soccer head coach and assistant varsity football coach. The Badgers reached the bi-district soccer playoffs eight times in former coach Ryan Race’s tenure, from 2013 to 2021, with only the 2020 suspended season…
