Growing up in West Texas, Doug Tipton pretty much always knew he would become a coach. He loved the sport, even with the four- to five-hour bus rides to games that were a part of his experience playing for Fort Stockton.
Tipton recently was named head boys’ track coach and defensive backs coach for the Lampasas Badgers, filling a spot vacated by Tanner McLean.
