Girls' golf team easily defends district championship

The Lady Badgers won the district golf tournament by more than 140 strokes, and LeeAnn Parker earned her second individual district title on Monday.

Lampasas shot 662 in the 36-hole event, held April 5 at Glen Rose and April 12 at Gatesville. 

Parker shot 73-81--154 for first place, Kinsley Lindeman placed second at 78-91--169, and Rutledge was third at 88-83--171.

Shaylee Wolfe and Elizabeth Cross rounded out the Lady Badgers' first team. 

Kenlee Turner also advanced to regionals as a medalist. The Badger boys were unable to advance to the postseason.
