Lampasas will move on to the playoffs with a perfect 8-0 regular-season record, including a 5-0 district performance.

The Badgers beat Fredericksburg 56-20 at home on Friday after taking a 42-0 lead in the first half.

Running back Jack Jerome scored the Badgers' first two touchdowns. Quarterback Ace Whitehead scored the Badgers' third touchdown on the ground. He then found Mike Murray on a pass for touchdown No. 4.

Whitehead ran in for the fifth touchdown of the night, and Murray scored again, diving into the end zone late in the first half for a 42-0 Badger lead.

Murray's longest catch of the night, a 90-yard touchdown haul, put Lampasas ahead 49-0 in the third quarter.

After Fredericksburg got on the scoreboard, Case Brister returned the kickoff for the Badgers' last touchdown.

The Billies added two more touchdowns before the night was through.

Keagan Richardson had a fumble recovery, and Cade White and Dax Brookreson each intercepted a pass.

The Badgers' bi-district playoff game is Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. against Uvalde in Fredericksburg.
