St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will host its annual Blessing of the Pets on Sunday at noon on the church lawn at 501 S. Chestnut St. Local animal lovers are invited to participate. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. Blessings will be administered by the Rev. Bill Fowler. The event is held each year on St. Francis Day which honors St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
