Utilities restored after deep freeze

A weather station 11 miles west-northwest of Lampasas reported continuous subfreezing temperatures for 206 hours -- about eight and half days (Feb. 10-19), according to the Lower Colorado River Authority. The coldest night of last week’s record freeze brought temperatures ranging from minus 3 near Naruna to about 2 F degrees near Nix. Power and water service were disrupted throughout the region…
