  • This schematic highlights some of the changes the Texas Department of Transportation plans for the U.S. Highway 190/281 intersection just south of Sulphur Creek at W.M. Brook Park. The ingress and egress at the Hostess House will be eliminated and moved farther south along U.S. 281, and sidewalks and new lighting are to be added. TxDOT is continuing a feasibility study it initiated in 2022, and officials have indicated they will consider public comments in development of alternatives to relieve traffic congestion primarily along Key Avenue.
