Mickey Edwards to take LISD board seat

Unofficial results for the May 4 local elections are in, showing a landslide win for Mickey Edwards in the race for Lampasas ISD Board. 

In the Lampasas ISD Board election, Mickey Edwards swept the vote with a total of 447 to Melinda Picott’s 81. 

Randy Morris and Bob Borchardt, both running unopposed, will maintain their seats with 441 and 422 votes, respectively. 

 

Lometa ISD Board

In the at-large vote for the two available Lometa ISD Board of Trustee seats, Cristopher Brister received 147 votes, with Dusty Duncan following with 86 votes. Brister and Duncan will take the two available board positions. 

Carlos Garcia received 39 votes, Taylor Darden received 33, Kim Wooten received 24, Clay Harrington received 20, and Anthony Resa received 12.

 

Lometa City Council 

In Lometa City Council’s at large vote, Derek Talley took the highest number of votes, with 45 in total. Larry Koch was a close second receiving 33. Talley and Koch will take the two available council seats. 

Contenders Julia Thomas and Crystal Knoy followed with 26 and 19 votes, respectively. 

Mayoral candidate Bob Butler ran unopposed and received 56 votes.
