A Saturday home fire claimed the life of a Kempner resident. Kempner police identified the victim of the Saturday afternoon fire as Alex Gandy, a senior citizen. Gandy died at a San Antonio hospital after sustaining serious burns in a fire at his residence at 216 Peach St. Kempner resident Clintin Mosely said he was out surveying flood damages that afternoon when he saw the smoke. …
