Lampasas County VFW Post receives national recognition

For the first time, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8539 in Lampasas County has received national recognition for its community service. Post 8539 was awarded the 2022-2023 National Outstanding Community Service Award. Of the more than 6,000 VFW posts across the United States, only 1% earn this recognition.
