Badgers survive scare in Burnet, move to 6-0 in district

Playing on the road against Burnet has always been difficult for Badger athletics regardless of the sport. Last Friday night was no exception for the boys’ basketball team. The Badgers went over there and won a tough game that went down to the wire, 56-49.

Girls’ basketball dominates Burnet with 20-point win

The Lady Badger basketball team rounded out the first half of district play with a 52-32 win over Burnet on the road. The win takes their record to 3-2 after the first five games.

Powerlifters win home meet, breaking several records

Thursday night was the only home powerlifting meet of the year, and the Badgers had numerous athletes in action. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams won the meet, and multiple records were broken.On the boys’ side, Lampasas collected 58 points to win the meet.

Badgers win battle of unbeatens over Salado

Tuesday night’s basketball game between Lampasas and Salado largely lived up to its billing, as the two 4-0 district teams did battle in a contest that was very competitive until late when Lampasas eventually separated to win 72-55.

Lampasas lifters compete at first meet of season

Last Thursday, the Lampasas powerlifting team traveled to Burnet for its first official meet of the season.The boys’ team came home with a first-place finish to open the season, and the Lady Badgers earned a second-place finish.The Lady Badgers had some personal records broken during the meet.

Girls’ basketball loses to Salado in tight contest

The Lady Badgers faced a tough matchup Tuesday night when the Salado Lady Eagles came to town. They fought a physical game but ultimately came up short, losing 42-35.
