Badgers earn a big win over Hamilton

The Badgers hosted Hamilton on Monday in their final game before the Christmas break, and they were dominant, winning by 27 points. The final score was 58-31. This marked the boys’ second win over Hamilton this season, but this one was in hand very early.

On Saturday, the Badgers took on La Grange in scrimmages and while the score did not go in their favor, there was a lot learned in the process. “We saw even more improvement in the program across all levels,” head coach Samuel Burnside said. “Boys made great touches and made good things happen.

Girls’ soccer competes in third scrimmage of the season

The Lady Badger soccer team traveled to Killeen on Tuesday morning to scrimmage against the new Chaparral High School. Lampasas led for most of the game, but two late longrange goals by Chaparral led to a 3-2 loss for the Lady Badgers. “I felt good in the beginning,” head coach Emma Sharp said.

Lady Badger basketball dominates Florence at home

The Lady Badgers hosted the Florence Lady Buffaloes on Friday, and they came away with a dominant win. The final score was 73-24, but the game essentially was over by halftime when Lampasas was ahead 46-13.

The Lampasas boys’ soccer team took on Chaparral Thursday afternoon in their first scrimmage of the season. The varsity fell 3-1, while the junior varsity team won 3-1. “We got a lot of good looks and teamwork out of it in a couple cold, physical matches,” head coach Samuel Burnside said.

Girls’ soccer team earns a clean sheet in scrimmage win over Jarrell

The Lady Badgers played in another scrimmage leading up to the start of the regular season. The girls won 2-0 Friday against the Jarrell Lady Cougars. The two goals were scored by junior Bella Lindsey, who has worked her way back from injury in time for the soccer season.

Badgers pick up close win over Waco Robinson

Lampasas hosted the Waco Robinson Rockets Tuesday night with a chance to get the Badgers’ basketball season record back above .500. They were able to do just that with a 66-61 win.
