Lampasas off-season SWAT training program begins

The Speed Weight and Agility Training program that coaches encourage all Lampasas athletes -- middle school and high school -- to participate in began Monday and will run into July. Workouts will be from 8-10 a.m.

Annual memorial tournament has a new winner

A final-round 63 was enough to crown a new winner of the annual A.C. January Memorial golf tournament last weekend.

Several Lady Badgers receive all-district softball honors

The Lady Badgers finished their season as bi-district qualifiers and took third place in District 24-4A. The all-district recognitions have been released after the final teams in the district were eliminated from the softball playoffs.

Young Badgers work on the basics of tennis at summer camp

Head tennis coach Kenneth Peiser hosted his annual tennis camp last week, and students were able to work on their forehand, backhand, serves and other skills. Although conditions were a bit humid on Friday, temperatures stayed mostly in the 80s, making for an enjoyable time on the court.

Youth participate in summer basketball camp

The Lampasas basketball coaching staff and many of its players hosted more than 50 first- through sixth-grade students at basketball camp last week. The kids worked through shooting, dribbling and passing drills, and practiced their skills.

Badgers finish ninth in state golf tournament

The Badger golf team spent Monday and Tuesday competing at the Conference 4A State Golf Tournament at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland. Over the two days, the team shot 317-323-640 to finish in ninth place. Lampasas finished higher than Marble Falls, Celina and Texarkana Pleasant Grove.
