The Texas high school football playoffs end in heartbreak for every team except for one in each division. This season, that heartbreak for the Badgers came in the second round against Alice.

Girls’ basketball team plays at Hamilton tournament

The Lady Badger basketball team picked up another win during the Hamilton tournament last weekend. The girls were able to beat McGregor 40-35, and they lost to Brownwood 46-29 to split their first two games last Thursday.

Badgers vs. Coyotes, round two

The Badger football team dispatched the Uvalde Coyotes last week in the bi-district round of the playoffs. Now they will get a crack at the Alice Coyotes in round two of the Texas high school football playoffs. Alice finished the regular season 8-2 overall and 6-0 in District 16-4A, Division I.

The Lady Badger basketball team struggled in the home opener against a Top 10 stateranked 5A team in Leander Glenn. Lampasas lost 69-22 after getting out to a really slow start.

Lady Hornets start basketball season 3-0

The Lometa Lady Hornets dominated Three Way School in their third game of the season, coming away with a 48-11 win. The Lady Hornets jumped out to a 10-3 lead after the first quarter, but they really separated in the second eight minutes and moved ahead 26-5 by halftime.

Boys’ basketball team begins season with win

The Badger basketball team officially started its season on Tuesday on the road against Eastside Memorial. Lampasas has begun 1-0 after a 72-65 win. They were led by 34 points from sophomore Peyton Sisson.
