Golf course manager to retire after over 30 years on job

Van Berry has been the course manager at Hancock Park Golf Course since 1993-1994, and he will be retiring early next year with his last day planned for February. For Berry, working at Hancock Park was something that started for him back in childhood.

High school soccer season ready to get underway

The Lampasas soccer season is ready to take off, as scrimmages have started, and the regular season is right around the corner. The girls’ first scrimmage is tonight at 4 p.m. in Jarrell. The Lady Badgers’ first regular-season game will be played Jan. 2 at home against Killeen, scheduled for 2 p.m.

Solid team play leads to double-digit win for Badgers

The Badgers played high-level team basketball Tuesday night, and they closed out a double-digit win over Thorndale, 59-47. Lampasas started the game strong and built an eight-point lead, 20-12, after the first quarter.

Girls’ basketball team picks up road win over Brady

The Lady Badger basketball team traveled to Brady Tuesday night and played in a tough, back-andforth game against the Lady Bulldogs. Lampasas came out on top 52-48. Addison Borchardt led the Lady Badgers in scoring with a season-high 19 points, and Mia Mulcahy added 10 points of her own.
