Col. Jenice Noble Longfield, MD, MPH, died March 31, 2026, after a decade-long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.She was born on Oct. 22, 1947, in Noblesville, Indiana, to Max and Mary Noble.An exceptional student, Jenice was the first in her family to attend and graduate from college.

Wayne Lynn Davis, 75, died on March 22, 2026, at his home in Briggs.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on April 3 from 6-8 p.m.Services will be held on April 4 at 11 a.m., also at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Briggs.

Elisabeth “Liz” Kent-McQue, 67, of Lampasas died peacefully at her home on March 23, 2026.Liz was born on March 24, 1958, in Germany to Wilhelm and Margarete Seiz. She spent her early years in Germany, where she developed a lifelong love for horses that remained at the center of her life.

Robert Eugene Marquis, a loving family man, skilled diesel mechanic and gifted nature photographer, died peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Kempner.Born on July 21, 1955, in Ridgecrest, California, Robert lived a life marked by dedication, creativity and a deep passion for the outdoors.

Mr. Nuckles

William Aaron “W.A.” Nuckles, 90, of Lampasas, died on March 17, 2026 at home.He was Rollins Brook Hospital’s third baby, born on April 19, 1935, in Lampasas to Lucille Champion Nuckles and Joseph Aaron Nuckles.W.A. grew up in the Unity Community and attended Unity School.

Donald Glenn Johnson of Lampasas died on March 10, 2026.Glenn was a proud Vietnam veteran who served his country with courage, grit and a strong sense of duty.

Mr. Friedlander

Tracy Alan Friedlander, 79, died on Feb. 19, 2026, at his home in Lampasas.He was born on Feb. 27, 1946, in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, to Irving and Letha Dorothy (Lee) Friedlander.  Tracy was cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at Bar 17 Ranch in Lampasas County on March 21 from 3-6 p.

Mr. Cannon

Claude Frank Cannon III, affectionately known as “Bubba,” was born on Aug. 3, 1945, in Houston. Bubba embodied the spirit of a true cowboy, yet his contributions extended past the realm of ranch life.

Mrs. Petronis

Debby Petronis died on March 6, 2026 after a brief illness. She was 75 years old.Fulton Family Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.Debra Lee “Debby” Simmons Petronis was born and raised in Amarillo. She attended Baylor University and graduated with a degree in education.
