Betty Ann Yeske, 93, of Lampasas, died on Sept. 12, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 30 at 2 p.m., with visitation from noon to 2 p.m. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas will follow the service. Betty was born on Aug.

Mr. Nuckles

Reuben Lee Nuckles, 82, died on Sept. 6, 2023. Funeral services will be held at School Creek Baptist Church on Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at Smith Cemetery at School Creek.

Mr. Smith

Raymond Patrick Smith died on Aug. 26, 2023. He was born May 8, 1965 in Lampasas to Raymond and Annette A. Smith. Patrick was an oldfashioned barber and the owner of Cove Barber Shop. He previously resided in Anchorage, Alaska for 30 years.

Mr. Pitman

Carl Dean Pitman, 78, died at home in Kempner on Aug. 24, 2023, after a 12-year battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at First Street Church of Christ on Aug. 29 at noon, with visitation an hour prior. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Salerno

Judith Mary Allen Salerno, 81, died in Lampasas on Aug. 24, 2023. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on Dec. 20, 1941, to Walter R. Allen and Patricia Farrell Allen. She is survived by Charles S.

Mr. Moran

Richard Carl “Dick” Moran, 92, died on Aug. 26, 2023, at Lampasas Assisted Living after a long battle with lung disease. A private memorial service and interment at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Hanson

Susie Hanson, 70, died on Aug. 22, 2023, at her temporary home in Lampasas. A service will be held at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas on Aug. 27 at 4 p.m., with a visitation an hour prior.

Mr. Uhler

Bernard “Benny” Uhler II, also known as “Little Benny,” died on Aug. 12, 2023 in Coryell County. He was 48. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 18 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas. Benny was born Aug. 30, 1974 to Bernard and Deborah Kay Uhler.

Mr. Pemble

Steven Bruce Pemble died on Aug. 14, 2023. Born on March 15, 1944, in Tenstrike, Minnesota, Steve lived a life full of dedication and love for his family and friends. Steve joined the United States Army at the age of 17.

Mrs. May

Dorothy Evelyn May, 94, died on Aug. 16, 2023, in San Saba. Visitation was held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Aug. 19. Funeral services took place at First Baptist Church in Lometa on Aug. 20, with interment at Chadwick Cemetery.
