Billy Joe Withers

Billy Joe Withers, 66, died on Dec. 29, 2023, in Temple. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Jan. 4, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. Billy was born in Stinnett, Texas to Earl Dean Withers and Gladys (Rochelle) Withers. He loved to play his guitar, sing and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Jones

Irvin Darrell Jones, age 86, of Adamsville (currently Lampasas), died on Dec. 27, 2023. Services will be held at Adamsville Baptist Church on Dec. 30 at 10 a.m., with visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hines Chapel Cemetery in Adamsville.

Mrs. Frost

Frances Mary (Hilfiger) Frost, 92, died on Dec. 2, 2023, in Lampasas. A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. Frances was born on July 21, 1931, in Potter County, Pennsylvania to Frank and Maude (Krusen) Hilfiger.

Mr. Dooley

Thomas Wayne Dooley, 57, of Cedar Park died on Dec. 17, 2023 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Thomas was born on March 16, 1966 to Bill and Fannie Dooley in San Saba.

Mr. Shurtleff

Robert Thomas Shurtleff, 88, died on Dec. 14, 2023. A funeral service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. Visitation be held at the same location at 10 a.m., immediately preceding the service.

Mr. Straley

Funeral services for James Carroll Straley, 83, of Welch, Texas were held Dec. 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Welch, with Ben Phipps officiating. Visitation was held Dec. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa. Carroll died Dec. 9, 2023 in Welch at his residence.

Mr. Bigham

Richard Lee Bigham, 66, died on Dec. 11, 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas at 11 a.m. Dec. 21, with burial to follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Dimas

Sally “Mamaw” Dimas, 90, died on Dec. 12, 2023, in Lampasas. Rosary was held Dec. 14 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, and visitation followed. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Odom

Dorothy Louise Odom of Lampasas died on Dec. 9, 2023, at AdventHealth Central Texas hospital in Killeen. She was 94. Dottie, as she was known by friends and family, was born on April 8, 1929, to Eldie May (Brown) and Warren A. Gore in Hale Center. She was the eighth and youngest child.

Ms. Ybarra

Consepcion Ybarra, age 88 of Lampasas, died on Dec. 8, 2023. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rosary was at 6 p.m. Dec. 11, with a visitation that followed at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel.
