Funeral service set July 20 for Glynda Carpenter

Glynda Carson Carpenter, 90, died on July 10, 2024, at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Services for the former city councilwoman will be held at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on July 20 at 11 a.m., with a visitation an hour prior to the service.

Kooper Neil Chaney, 20, of Kempner died at his residence on June 22, 2024.Kooper was born at St. David’s in Georgetown to Aubrey Hart and Lindsey Chaney Greenwood.He loved being with family and making people laugh. He also enjoyed football, fishing and writing songs.

Robert Wayne Borchardt, 77, died on July 3, 2024, at his home in Lampasas.Wayne was born on Sept. 13, 1946, in Hale County to Robert and Frances (King) Borchardt.He married Linda Hoyt in 1973 in Dallas. They were married for 51 years.

Artie Mae (Chamberlain) Moore was born to William Homer Chamberlain and Norine Gertrude (Stewart) Chamberlain on July 29, 1926, in Lohn, McCulloch County, Texas. She died on June 21, 2024, in Lampasas at the age of 97 years and 10 months.

Funeral set Saturday for longtime appraiser Bumpus

Longtime businessman and real estate appraiser John Robert Bumpus, 79, died on July 2, 2024.Visitation will be held July 6 at First Baptist Church from 1-2 p.m., with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Dr. Mark Bumpus, his brother, will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
