Services set July 8 for Ruthie Martin

Ruth Richardson Martin, longtime high school English teacher, died July 1, 2026, just days before her 83rd birthday.Services will be held July 8 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Rick Willis to officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Jacquelyn Lynn Carnes, 60, died at her home in Lampasas on May 31, 2026.She was born in Galveston to Bennie Doyle Smith and Joyce Laverne (Hazel) Smith on March 14, 1966.Jackie met the love of her life, Lee Carnes, in Cleveland, Texas in 1986, and they were married in 1987.

Pansy Hughes Urofsky died peacefully on May 31, 2026.She was born in Kempner on Aug. 30, 1936, to Saba and George Hughes.Pansy married Murray Urofsky on Feb. 16, 1957. They were blessed with four children: Philip, Craig, Jeff and Christy.
