After a battle with cancer. Richard Dewayne Cox, age 58, died May 7, 2026 under hospice care at his home in Azle.Richard and his twin brother Roger were born on Aug. 15, 1967, in Burnet to Roy Don Cox and Linda Ann DeLeon Cox.He spent his childhood years living in Burnet, Llano and Dublin.

Harold Franklin Davis, 78, of Lampasas, died peacefully on June 16, 2026, at his residence.He was born on Dec. 16, 1947, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to O.W. Davis and Deloris (Crum) Davis.Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather who faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army.

Services set July 8 for Ruthie Martin

Ruth Richardson Martin, longtime high school English teacher, died July 1, 2026, just days before her 83rd birthday.Services will be held July 8 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Rick Willis to officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Karen Elizabeth Limmer, 41, of Houston, died on June 17, 2026. She was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, nurse, friend and faithful follower of Christ. Karen was born on March 28, 1985, in Lampasas to Daniel Dotson Hodges and Dianna Lynn Wear Hodges.

Gladys Laverne Thornal Owen died in Lampasas on June 8, 2026.She was born in Lampasas County on Jan. 7, 1926 to Oscar and Della Anderson Thornal and celebrated her 100th birthday earlier this year.
